On Dated 21st Feb 2020, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Diploma Studies, RK University organized Industrial Visit at Flotech Engg. Pvt. Ltd., GIDC Shapar, Rajkot on 21st Feb 2020. 30 students from Department of Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering were accompanied by 2 faculties and 1 lab assistant for the visit. The main objective of the visit was to make them aware about the parts of pumps, assembly process, various machining processes and testing instruments used for the quality checks and assurance. All these points were covered by the industrial supervisor Denish Faldu who cleared out the questions raised by the students and made them understand the work-flow of the company and its adopted standards. Electrical connections of the pump were the most critical part and as such HV testing area was introduced to them for the better understanding of the same.
