LABS & COMPUTING
This laboratory will provide the better knowledge of basic principle of electrical equipments. The experiments will include the measurement of voltage, current, power, power factor for single phase. It also helps the students to solve the problems related to star delta connection, domestic wiring, and DC machine parts. It provides the advance instruments like CRO, DMM, MCB and ELCB.
The laboratory is equipped with all types of AC and DC machines mainly covered under Diploma curriculum. In this laboratory students will understand basic concept of machine and construction of machine with practical experience in laboratory. The Laboratory will give the best opportunity to students to learn about D.C. machine parts, D.C. machine model, All types of testing on D.C. machine, Single phase transformer model & its parts, All types of testing done on transformer like open circuit & short circuit test, parallel operation of transformer etc. The Laboratory helps the students to solve industrial problems through laboratory experiments.
This laboratory is equipped with all the fundamental equipment needed for experiments involving electric power systems. The equipment available for students includes fundamental devices of electric power systems, such as transformers, power system simulator, switch gears, relay testing panel .
In this laboratory students will get the basic concepts of protection for domestic and substation purpose. This laboratory will help the students to get the knowledge of relays like over-current, thermal overload, static, numerical relays. It also provides the knowledge of protective equipment like fuse, circuit breaker, current transformer, potential transformer, lightning arrester.
The laboratory is equipped with all type of equipment for Commissioning and Testing and maintenance of Electrical Equipment , such as testing Transformer oil testing, Megger, Earth Resistance tester etc. Students can get aware about testing process of different machines in this laboratory.
Instrumentation and Control laboratory provides a “hands on” environment that is crucial to develop theoretical concept of students’ understanding. Instrumentation and Control laboratory is housed with different instruments. It measures like different resistances with various bridges and for insulation testing, power measurement and for also power factor measurement. On different instrument or rigs they are arranged in different control configurations to achieve specific control objectives like voltage, current and power. This laboratory will give information to student about how quantity will measure and how it is calibrated properly.
